Characterization and Classification of Different Aquaculture Tunisian Water using an Electronic Tongue
نویسنده
چکیده
In this report we present a comparative study realized on different aquaculture water samples collected from several fish farms in Tunisia. For each water sample, significant physiochemical parameters such as conductivity, pH, NH4 + , Na + , Ca 2+ , F and NO3 were determined using a potentiometric multi-sensor system named "electronic tongue". Experimental analysis data were standardized and subjected to principal components analysis (PCA) in order to classify, to control and to maintain the quality of water needed for aquaculture purposes. In particular, our study has been profoundly interested to Hergla farm comparing the quality of its aquaculture reject water to other wastewater resources. It is meant by this procedure to elucidate the impacts of aquaculture on its surrounding environment. This leads to a better opportunity to give the objective elements used for the comparative judgement of the polluted aquaculture.

Water Quality Index Estimation Model for Aquaculture System Using Artificial Neural Network
Water Quality plays an important role in attaining a sustainable aquaculture system, its cumulative effect can make or mar the entire system. The amount of dissolved oxygen (DO) alongside other parameters such as temperature, pH, alkalinity and conductivity are often used to estimate the water quality index (WQI) in aquaculture. There exist different approaches for the estimation of the quality...
متن کاملClassification of Mixtures of Odorants from Livestock Buildings by a Sensor Array (an Electronic Tongue)
An electronic tongue comprising different numbers of electrodes was able to classify test mixtures of key odorants characteristic of bioscrubbers of livestock buildings (n-butyrate, iso-valerate, phenolate, p-cresolate, skatole and ammonium). The classification of model solutions indicates that the electronic tongue has a promising potential as an online sensor for characterization of odorants ...

Alkaline crude enzymes from the viscera of the Tunisian barbel (Barbus callensis) were extracted and characterized. Proteolytic crude extract from barbel viscera was active and stable in alkaline solution. The optimum pH and temperature were 11.0 and 55 °C, respectively, using casein as a substrate. The crude alkaline protease was extremely stable in the pH range of 5.0-12.0. Zymography activit...
